Perplexity’s Comet Browser to Monitor User Activity for Targeted Ads, Says CEO; Set to Compete with Google, Launches in May with Motorola Partnership and Samsung in Talks

Perplexity’s CEO, Aravind Srinivas, revealed plans for its browser, Comet, to track all user activity online to deliver hyper-personalized ads. Launching in May, Comet aims to rival Google by understanding user behavior beyond its app, hoping users will appreciate more relevant advertising. Perplexity has partnered with Motorola and is in talks with Samsung.
